Big Dell back on his feet
June 6th 2008 09:23
Wendell Sailor has stopped the hussle. His tussle with life finally looks over.
Having more shots at life than 50 cent himself, the former Wallabies hardman is looking to bust all of his controversies against the Broncos tonight.
After two years of hurt and critisim, not to mention all the insults ranging from "stuff you" to f*** you, it is apparent now that Sailor is a reborn man with a second chance.
But despite all the hurt that Sailor has suffered these past couple of years, we don't know how this enigmatic character has managed to claw his way back to the big time.
After what he's gone through, Sailor could be the king of all comebacks, let alone the fact that not many will bow to the cause.
His Rock city days are now over and the pimpin has ceased. All those long, lone nights in bars are a thing of the past.
Wendell is finally back and the man now has four arms to help with the road to salvation. He has he's own pair but his partner offers two more just in case.
Two for the love and the care, and two for the avoidance of green and gold bottles.
Sailor has been popped for selling his story so many times. If you hate him now, you hate everything that sport posesses to individuals like him. A second chance.
The Dragons man has put all the s*** back and is now ready to riot like never before - this time on the footy pitch.
If you still think he's lying, go visit him.
Growing up in suburbian streets, Sailor always had a hustle and tussle type of lifestyle. after growing up to become one of the finest rugby league wingers for the Broncos, Sailor wanted more greens.
He got it in the form of Rugby Union. The price looked right for the future Wallaby representative. Sailor rolled the dice and believed the hype surrounding his defection to the Wallaby jumper would be a good one.
Although there were some bright moments, Sailor's move to the 15 man code proved some switches in life simply don't work.
Whether he undid his work or his work undid him, any would have said that Sailor's move to Union was more of a visit, and a failed one at that.
The goal was the lesson on how to get rich. In the end, Sailor was getting nightmares till he eventually went to sleep.
All the lies Sailor had to cover up were too hard to swallow. The Waratahs bought it for a while but then eventually found out the grim truth of a career spiralling downwards.
With more action than a casino under his belt, Sailor had to bet two years in the making.
All the disrepect he has caused will finally bring a smile, as a city tries to embrace big dell once again.
Alot of people willl be at Win stadium tonight to see the black and tight limbs of one of Australia's most controversial figures. Many will be looking to see how he performs.
Many will see if Sailor has generated the respect that made him a fan favourite for Brisbane at the beginning of his career.
Although he has always been one to talk, Sailor this time will look for his actions to speak louder than his words ever could. A stunning introduction to round 13 of the NRL.
No doubt Sailor will connect with all Dragons supporters. There is no need to test for that.
This time Sailor's for real. Big Dell is back running again.
