Loyal Farah should stay a Tiger

The Gold Coast Titans are a real enticing option for any NRL player let alone ones as good as Robbie Farah.
A lucrative contract, laidback lifestyle and a walk to the beach are a unique package for Farah to just pick his things up and end his successful association with the Wests Tigers.
Not to mention the Titans are a growing force to be reckoned with in the NRL. They are now in their third season and should be pushing for a top eight birth after coming so close last year.
Although all of these factors would lure any key player to the Titans, Farah should stay with the Tigers.
He is a family orientated man and one knows that having a support network by your side help's a player's career greatly in terms of staying focused and avoiding off field troubles.
Those that have played in the NRL away from family have suffered, some more than others.
Justin Hodges is a prime example of how one can fall into the abyss without the regular support of a loved one.
Hodges started his career at the Brisbane Broncos but later left to join the Sydney Roosters in 2002.
While he experienced some tremendous form at the Bondi Junction club early on which culminated in an Origin debut for QLD, his form deteriorated soon after, with injury and a lack of fitness taking their toll on the player.
Indeed nothing went right for Hodges after he won the 2002 Grand Final with the Roosters, with off field problems tarnishing his reputation as a big game player on the field.
With no one around him to lend support, Hodges went back to Brisbane in 2005 where all his family was based.
This was the fuel needed for Hodges to discover the form that now makes him the most lethal centre in the NRL.
Since his return to the Broncos in 2005, Hodges has been magnificent, becoming an integral part of Brisbane's premiership success in 2006, whilst also becoming a regular for the Kangaroos in Test football and the Maroons in Origin.
Indeed under the support and care of loved ones, Hodges found out that home is where the heart is, and its transpired into his football.
Farah should take this into consideration when deciding a switch to the Titans.
Although the Western Suburbs cannot offer million dollar beach views, family is by far the most important concept keeping Farah put at the Tigers at the moment.
Its what has allowed his form to help the Tigers win a premiership, and also come within a whisker of winning the Dally M player of the year award.
Unless he takes his family with him, Farah would be foolish to part ways with the Tigers and leave behind the energy source that has enabled him to display the form that will most likely give him the NSW hooking position next season.
