Manly's other Stewart the talk of the town

Glenn Stewart is now the star of the family. No offence to his brother Brett, but the Sea Eagles second rower now has the limelight to himself after making the run on side for Australia this Sunday night against the Kiwis.
After Manly fullback Brett Stewart succumbed to injury, Glenn was the only one left standing and this is his chance to come out of the shadows of his younger, sexier brother and claim league's ultimate prize.
Despite it taking longer for Glenn to make his name in the NRL, his figure will now stand noticed for the next four weeks of world cup competition barring injury and bad luck.
The most consistent and effective second rower in Australian rugby league at the moment is finally ready to revel in the spotlight long held by little brother Brett.
Although he will relish this opportunity to wear the green and gold, Glenn will go about his work with no fuss. The quite nature of the guy is what keeps him down to earth thus enabling him to become one of the Sea Eagles finest attacking weapons.
Of course, his brother Brett scores most of the tries, but Glenn is, more often than not, the player that lays the foundations for the opportunities to surface.
Indeed Glenn is that type of player. He creates moments other forwards aren't capable of making through the majority of their careers.
Glenn on the other hand makes things happen on the field faster than Brett can eat a bagful of sweets to combat his Diabetes.
All in all though, Glenn would rather have his superstar brother right beside him, singing the national anthem when the reigning world champions tackle great rivals New Zealand.
Glenn would love nothing more than to send the pass that puts brother Brett under the posts, inturn clinching the win for Australia.
How Glenn would have loved to be holding the world cup trophy with brother Brett as well.
Indeed Rugby League is a game all about mateship and brotherhood, and this in the end feeds the fuel for both Glenn and Brett to fire the way they do.
Regardless of Brett's absence from the Australia squad, Glenn will still play for pride for the Kangaroos jersey. But he will also play for pride in the Stewart family, with one of league's biggest drawcards sitting on the sidelines cheering Glenn on.
Because the bond the Stewart brothers share, this is more than enough tonic for Glenn and Australia to perform at their best against the Kiwis come Sunday night.
Indeed no one here in Australia expects anything less. The Stewarts are no different.
