Speedy Zillman desperate for Titans success

At full flight there is hardly anyone as breathtaking to watch as new Titans recruit William Zillman.
The former Raiders star however credits his transition to the Titans courtesy of the small steps he has currently taken in the off season.
For Zillman, that’s the theme of the moment as he embarks on his debut season with his new NRL club.
After undergoing two knee reconstructions in as many seasons, the speedy back is focused on just getting back to playing regular first grade football.
“At the moment my goals are certainly just to play some football and play some consistent football,’’ said Zillman, after joining his new teammates for an intensive two-day training camp at Casurina last weekend.
“I’ve got to get the knee right and it feels pretty good at the moment. I’m just looking forward to having a whole season on the paddock.’’
If all goes well for Zillman, the fullback has the potential to play rep football for the Maroons at his best.
Although his time on the footy pitch has been limited to say the least, there is no one out there questioning the potential that Zillman carries on his shoulders.
In the few games he did play for the Raiders, he made the side look dazzling in attack, with his speed and swerve all causing havoc against opposition defenders.
But just when the praise was fueling the now Titans fullback, injury has wrecked havoc on Zillman at the most inopportune of moments.
That did not stop the Raiders however from feeling quite disappointed when Zillman agreed to sign with the Titans.
That's because Canberra knew that another potential superstar of the game was heading out their door.
Now with an opportunity to play in a Titans side that features the most creative halfback in the competition in Scott Prince, Zillman can start licking his lips at the prospect of fulfilling his unique potential.
Of course, in his way for a regular fullback position is none other than Preston Campbell, who really has been the pillar for most of the Titans early season successes.
Although he may have to bide his time on the wing or on the sidelines when Campbell is in form, Zillman will blossom knowing he can learn the tricks of the trade from one of the most exciting players ever to grace the field of Rugby League.
If Zillman adopts Campbell's way of playing the game, and steers clear of injury, the Titans could benefit immensely from a talented fullback desperate to make it to the big time.
With his speed and instinctive hunger for scoring tries, one suggests he could get there very quickly.
